More HIV stories

Today’s show of The Story with Dick Gordon featured two stories of HIV infection and testing, timed to the recent CDC recommendation that HIV testing needs to be routine in our country (and elsewhere).

As it happens, tomorrow I’m to meet with the grad student who is spearheading the Narratives of HIV program at UNC-CH this year. When I first thought up the program in 2003, the first name on my list of potential speakers was Bono. I still think he’d be the perfect storyteller to come to Chapel Hill to raise awareness of the global AIDS epidemic. See DATA for more on his work on AIDS and African trade debt.
