Good conversations

Out on the campaign trail today, talking up the 2008 NC Science Blogging Conference and the related proposal for a clearinghouse of statewide science news, with mentions of the Michael Ruhlman food blogging event in September and the possible census of Triangle bloggers in October.

I had chats today with Cord Silverstein and Tola Oguntoyinbo of Capstrat, at Carmen’s Cuban Cafe (I had a moist and garlicky pork sandwich); Jim Shamp, Boris Hartl, Barry Teater and Robin Deacle at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center and Brian Russell at Panzanella (seared scallops, white beans, escarole, braised Fennel & tomato-basil sauce).
